Concise information on general situation and background to battle. Main part of book has a chapter per each day of the battle. I thought this approach helped understanding the time-line and flow of the battle. I particularly enjoyed the section of r|About the Author|Ian Daglish regularly takes groups to the battlefields of Normandy and is an acknowledged expert. He lives at Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
